Habitat Restoration at Mt. Tamalpais State Park - Hosted by One Tam
Meet at the end of Via Recodo, Mill Valley, CA, 94941 (https://goo.gl/maps/qpfNwSMkw5N2)
Join Marin County Parks and One Tam in maintaining the Via Recodo trail. In preparation for the winter rains the trail is going to require drainage work and tread work to make it safe and durable. The morning will kick off with coffee, an introduction to trail work and then we will get right to work. Our project will revolve mainly around out slopping the tread and fine tuning the switchbacks.
Trail work involves hiking, carrying tools and swinging tools. Please dress in close toed shoes, long pants and bring layers for the rapidly changing weather patterns on the slopes of the mountain. Light snacks will be provided but please supply your own lunch and bring water bottles.
In the event of heavy rain and/or high winds call (339) 927-4753 to find out about event status. In the event of
cancellation, program will be rescheduled.
