[CANCELLED] Mt Burdell Preserve Planting Day

When: Saturday, January 13th, 2024, 10 am–1 pm
Where: Mt Burdell Preserve, Novato; specific meeting location will be listed in the registration confirmation email. Registration is required.
Join us in a community planting day to enhance Monarch habitat! We will be planting the Monarch's host plant (Narrow-leaf Milkweed) and nectar plants to provide food for the Monarch throughout its life stages. All tools and training are provided.
This project involves a short hike in (5 minutes), walking on uneven terrain with option to drop down into a 2-3 foot drainage. There are no facilities (including restrooms) at this volunteer event. Please be prepared to use a facili-tree or stop by a local business beforehand.
Please wear warm clothes, closed-toe shoes, and bring a water bottle. Workday will occur rain or shine.
Grant funds for this project have been provided by Wildlife Conservation Board and Prop 68.

Age, Skills, What to Bring:
- Volunteers ages 12 and up are welcome. Read our Youth Policy Guidelines (PDF) for youth under the age of 15.
- We'll be working rain or shine. Wear clothes that can get dirty. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Bring layers for changing weather and rain gear if necessary.
- Bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.
- No experience necessary. Training and tools will be provided. Fulfills community service requirements
