Events
This day-long course is co-hosted/sponsored by the Conservancy's Alcatraz Gardens program and will begin with a tour of the historic gardens with manager Shelagh Fritz to gain inspiration for you to create your own mosaic. With ideas in mind, local artist Kristi Halva will walk through the steps of creating a beautiful piece of art of your own. Participants will also see the Alcatraz Florilegium on display, a collection of botanical illustrations depicting the plants of Alcatraz.
Event
Docents monitor habitat conditions for and educate hikers about native foothill yellow-legged frogs. At noon we take a 3 mile round-trip hike to Little Carson Falls.
