MLK Weekend of Service 2024

Take part in this National Day of Service to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Volunteers clean up Crissy Field in the Presidio of San Francisco, right next to the Golden Gate Bridge.

Join us in January to make MLK Day a "day on, not a day off". We'll be celebrating the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy all weekend with volunteer projects from Friday, January 12th - Monday, January 15th. From park maintenance to habitat restoration, there is something for everyone. Bring yourself, your friends, and your family to kick off the new year and take in your community on this National Day of Service! Event registration is required.

When: Friday, January 12 - Monday, January 15, 2024

Where: Project locations vary throughout the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA). Stay up to date on park closure information.
