Redwood Renewal is a multi-year series of projects to protect the health and biodiversity of Muir Woods National Monument and the Redwood Creek watershed. The National Park Service, with the help of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and other local partners, is enhancing the habitat at Redwood Creek for federally endangered coho salmon, whose numbers have decreased drastically from historic levels. The NPS and park partners have been working for many years to restore the Redwood Creek watershed from Muir Woods to Muir Beach and the Pacific Ocean. It’s all thanks to a community of supporters, from Muir Woods visitors to local residents and Parks Conservancy members, who have all helped make these projects possible. Thank you!
