The Presidio Trust, which manages the campground, offers school and community groups access to book campsites through their Monarch Week Pilot program.  You can reach out directly if you have any questions:  camp@presidiotrust.gov

Although this does not offer gear support, transportation, or welcomes by staff; groups that are eligible have a chance to book campsites in weeks that are not competitive with the public. (In 2023 Monarch Week was the last week of all the camping months, April through October)

All CAP-related programming (leadership trainings, overnight camping trips, and day use reservations) is currently on hiatus.

If you are a CAP Trained Leader and have a question or concern please email Ernesto Pepito at ernesto@parksconservancy.org. Ernesto is the Crissy Field Center's Associate Director who oversees & supports the CAP Program.

From 2007-2019 the Camping at the Presidio (CAP) Program provided youth with meaningful overnight camping experiences. Designed for community organizations and schools, CAP provided an affordable way for kids and groups to visit their national parks. While the program was active, CAP met the needs of thousands of Bay Area youth who lacked access to camping in their national parks.

Camping at the Presidio is a Crissy Field Center program, run in partnership with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the Presidio Trust, and the National Park Service.
