Join us at the Tam Van for an interactive exploration of the recent 11-acre prescribed burn at Rock Spring. Outlined in Marin Water’s Biodiversity, Fire and Fuels Integrated Plan and One Tam’s Forest Health Strategy, prescribed burns are one of the stewardship tools being used to rejuvenate overgrown areas and reduce fuels. 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM: "Igniting Resilience", a guided walk about fire ecology
Join Marin Water Ecologist and Watershed Volunteer Coordinator, Suzanne Whelan, and One Tam's Forest Health Fellow, Luis Reyes, to walk and learn about the use of beneficial fire. Our walk will be at a relaxed pace, up to 1 mile long, over uneven terrain.
