Jacqueline Rais is the Parks Conservancy's Chief Development Officer. She leads the Development and Membership Branch of the organization to expand and increase our philanthropic revenue in support of national parks – emphasizing our social, racial, environmental justice, and resource conservation goals.
Jacqueline is a senior fundraiser and philanthropy strategist with nearly 15 years of experience in the non-profit and government sectors. Jacqueline most recently served as the Director of Annual Giving at SFMOMA, overseeing multiple donor programs and leading a team that consistently surpassed revenue goals exceeding $8 million annually and nurturing a community of over 1,000 donors. She co-led the Philanthropy division’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) committee to operationalize equitable advancement practices and spearheaded efforts to diversify SFMOMA's donor community, from engaging next-generation philanthropists to mentoring a diverse workforce and cultivating BIPOC leaders onto the Board of Trustees and volunteer committees.
Before that, Jacqueline worked at the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability for the City of Portland, Oregon as a public involvement assistant. She supported public outreach for Portland's 2040 Plan, gathering community feedback to develop a city growth plan that ensures safe neighborhoods, a healthy economy, protection of natural areas, and equitable housing and transportation.
Jacqueline grew up in metro Detroit, Michigan, and holds a bachelor's degree in urban planning from Eastern Michigan University. She is a lifelong outdoors enthusiast and environmentalist, currently residing in San Francisco’s Sunset neighborhood with her family.
