Join historian John Martini for a two-hour exploration of Fort Baker and its amazing history. Starting at the main flagpole, we’ll walk the perimeter of the vast parade ground learning the history of the area from its origins as traditional land of the Miwok people through its uses as a Mexican rancho, a Coast Artillery post, a sprawling WWII Army boatyard, and its rebirth an award-winning Lodge at Cavallo Point. The walk includes walking on grassy surfaces, stairs, and unpaved foot trails.
