Have you ever been to Rancho Corral de Tierra? (Yes, and I want to go again!) or (No, but I am interested). Here is your time to come explore with us through an interpretive walk and talk along one of our newest trails here. 

Rancho Corral de Tierra is one of the largest undeveloped sections of land on the San Mateo Peninsula. The unmatched views from Montara Mountain, diverse wildlife, and important watersheds all provide opportunities for the restoration and improvement of its unique landscape.

This is a family friendly event! The program will last ~2.5 hours and will include a welcoming circle, history and introduction of the local flora and fauna of this site, 1-2 miles of hiking, and end with an engaging nature inspired drawing activity. We're also excited to share with you some cool Rancho themed tote bags (free of cost!) intentionally designed to represent human nature connections!

Meeting location: End of parking lot Le Conte trailhead (next to Farallone View Elementary School): 1100 Le Conte Avenue Montara, CA 94037. Staff will be there waiting in Parks Conservancy gear.

A few things to keep in mind:

• Bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen. We will provide snacks and lunch!

• Dogs are allowed on leash.

• Unfortunately, since this is a new site, we do not have access to bathrooms close by but will be able to make suggestions on nearby public restrooms.

• Please bring layers for changing weather, and rain gear if necessary.

• No experience necessary. Simply bring your enthusiasm and community spirit!
