Audio: Student identity project from Crissy Field Center I-YEL 2022-2023

In December of 2022, Inspiring Young Environmental Leaders (I-YEL) youth from the Crissy Field Center wrote and produced podcasts that described meaningful moments, memories, and ancestral stories that spoke to their identities. The youth were prompted to write about an important moment, place, or people in their lives, using sensory language to tell an engaging story. The prompt gave space for youth to explore their identities and share their voices. Through sharing narratives and personal experiences, the youth built community and readily made connections to each others' stories.
