(CANCELED) Climate Change, Fire, and Grassland Restoration - Hosted by California State Parks and One Tam
This event will be cancelled due to high winds, rain, and possible thunderstorms. We will reschedule for January 25 and hope you can join us!
What can we do to help our parks adapt to climate change? Join us to learn about climate change impacts to the Bay Area and Mt. Tam, and for a hands-on project to improve important grassland habitat! We will be using hand tools to remove small trees and shrubs while enjoying views of the Bay and ocean. No experience is necessary. Water, snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided; please bring a water bottle, footwear appropriate for variable terrain, long pants, and long sleeves. Please note that we will walk about one mile to the restoration site. This event is suitable for ages 12 and up; volunteers younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Meeting location: Find us in the lower Pantoll parking lot at 3801 Panoramic Highway (Google map). One Tam staff will provide parking passes.
No registration required, but RSVPs are appreciated!
