Mt. Tam Inspiration for Action and Art at Alpine Lodge - Hosted by the California Alpine Club
Join us for a evening hosted by the California Alpine Club to explore Mt. Tam's place in our community as a creative force, told through a section of Gary Yost's films featuring inspired stories of connection. Gary will screen and describe highlights of his films that touch upon the mountain's rich history and its vital future. Gary will focus on the work underway by MMWD and One Tam to examine the restoration of West Peak. Miwok artist, Sky Road Webb, will lead us in traditional songs and describe the Miwok tribe's spiritual connection to Mt. Tamalpais, and California Alpine Club President Jay Gustafson will highlight organizations involved in the long-term future of Mt. Tamalpais and Marin County. There will also be a very special guest, Dore Coller, closing the event with an unforgettable musical inspiration dedicated to "Mt. Tam".
