Crissy Field Kite Day: Photos from a joyous celebration of 20 years

Saturday, May 7, 2022 was a glorious day for kites and Crissy Field!  A big THANK YOU to everybody who stopped by the Roving Ranger to celebrate 20 years since the transformation of this beloved space. This day had it all: Families, friends, pups, the Bay, and a strong wind to help the sea of kites flying overhead! 

It was amazing to think that just over 20 years ago, we would have been standing instead on an abandoned asphalt patch, with no marsh and no beach nearby. We're immensely grateful for our NPS partners and to the generosity of the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, along with the thousands of volunteers and community members who helped make this transformation happen.
