Soulajule Jewels and Ghouls Hike at Soulajule Reservoir - Hosted by MMWD
Soulajule Reservoir is a little known gem in northern Marin County. We'll hike around the far side of the reservoir that has rare plants. This area is a lovely mixed forest with healthy shrubs and wildflowers underneath. Indian paintbrush species and Western pond turtles both inhabit this area. It is 2 to 3 miles round-trip, relatively flat, possibly muddy. There is a plank to cross over the water and a short incline at the start. If you would like a ride from Fairfax please contact us. Meet at Soulajule Reservoir at 10am - at the dirt lot below the dam on Arroyo Sausal Road 1 mile past the gate at Marshall Petaluma Rd.
