Join us outside the Field Station at Presidio Tunnel Tops for the Parks Conservancy Fungus Fair to explore the weird and wonderful world of fungus! Learn about how to grow your own mushrooms, how to identify them in the wild, and what ecologists have been learning about fungus in the park. We'll also have face-painting, spore prints, mushroom snacks, and other fun activities for all ages.
Weather can be variable in the Presidio, so we recommend bringing layers in case of fog/wind, and a hat/sunscreen in case it's sunny. Heavy rain will cancel this program. The site is wheelchair-accessible, and gender-neutral, wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are available on-site. For more information on accessibility at Presidio Tunnel Tops, please visit Access and Inclusion at Presidio Tunnel Tops | The Presidio (San Francisco).
This event is fully outdoors, so masks will be optional, but please tune into the others around you and mask up when approaching anyone else wearing a mask.
The Golden Gate National Parks programming is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
