When: Thursdays, 9 am–Noon
Where: Meet at the Temporary Presidio Transit Center a few minutes prior to the start of the program for a prompt 9:00 am departure. Volunteers will be shuttled by van to the project site. Look for an orange trailer with "VOLUNTEER" on the side as a meeting location landmark.
Garden Stewards maintain and enhance the Presidio’s historic landscapes and community gardens while learning about horticulture and environmental sustainability. Activities often include tending vegetable, herb and ornamental beds; turning compost piles; mulching paths; washing pots; or transplanting seedlings. The Presidio's historic landscapes and community gardens serve as important gathering spaces for people to meet their neighbors, learn to grow wholesome organic foods, and connect with nature.
Check the Presidio Trust website for additional updates.
