Have you ever wondered what a ranger looks at when they go for a walk in the woods? You’re invited to come with us!
On Aug 25th, Ranger Randi will be leading a 6-mile guided hike on the Bootjack-Ben Johnson Loop. The tour should last approximately 4 hours, ending at 1:00 PM.
There will be intermittent stops to discuss interesting aspects of the forest, ask and answer questions, and to provide water breaks. This hike is strenuous with continued elevation gain and loss. We recommend hiking boots, but tennis shoes will also work well. Please bring at least 1 liter of water with you as well as a snack to consume at a mid-point. We look forward to seeing you!
In the meantime, here’s what to know:
Registration is required and will open two weeks before the event (Aug 11). Participants will be capped at 30 on a first come first serve basis.
