Join MMWD Fisheries biologist and conservation staff to learn about the amazing life cycle of our coho salmon, and about MMWD and other local efforts to protect this endangered population. We’ll walk along Lagunitas creek and learn to identify redds (salmon nests) and if we’re lucky, we may spot a spawning salmon. Please bring comfortable walking shoes with good tread that can get muddy, layers and binoculars are recommended.
Meeting location: Leo T. Cronin fish viewing area (google map)
This event includes a high degree of uncertainty! We may have to reschedule for rain, or if our fisheries biologist is required to do field monitoring- two events that are hard to predict. We’ll keep everyone registered up to date and in the loop if we need to find a backup date.
