Come join Marin County Parks and One Tam in this community-based effort to improve habitat while preparing for sea level rise. We are transforming an area that was covered by weeds into a place for animals to feed throughout the year and shelter during high tides. We will be planting while enjoying a view of the marsh and Mt. Tam! Work is mildly strenuous and involves bending, pulling, kneeling, and walking on uneven terrain. It is possible for volunteers as young as five years old to join if teamed with a parent or guardian. Please dress in layers you can get dirty, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a water bottle.
Meeting Location: Meet across from Marin General Hospital at Hal Brown Park at Creekside.
Directions: From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 1.2 miles. Turn left onto Bon Air Rd and follow 0.3 miles. The park is on the right.
RSVP, questions, and info about extreme wind/ rain cancellations: Marin County Parks Volunteer Coordinator Kirk Schroeder [kschroeder[at]marincounty.org], (415) 763-2977.
