As we hike to the top of a nearby ridge and watch a spectacular sunset followed by a grand full moon rise over the Bay, we will learn more about the exciting plans for a master-planned development on these hills housing a total of 30,000 people. Luckily, those plans were defeated back in 1972. Find out how close we came to losing this precious open space forever. On our descent, we'll keep an eye out for Marincello's current residents, including the coyote, bobcat, and the great horned owl.
