When: Saturday, February 8th, 2025, 10 am–2 pm
Where: Hummingbird Farm, San Francisco; Registration is required.
Join us for a day of connection, learning, and restoration at Hummingbird Farm, designed for BIPOC queer and trans individuals. This event will offer an opportunity to explore the intersection of queer ecology, environmental justice, and community building through a variety of engaging activities.
The day will begin with a guided meditation to center participants in the space. Afterward, we'll enjoy an informative farm tour highlighting PODER’s Pueblote campaign to put Public Lands in People's Hands and create Hummingbird Farm. Learn how Queer Ecology plays a role in the farms environmental justice efforts to connect to ancestral plants on occupied lands.
We'll engage in restoration work with a Queer Ecology prompt on one of the last remaining grasslands in San Francisco - the Geneva Meadow. We'll end with a creative art activity to foster connections with fellow participants.
