Travel with us to Alcatraz Island, learn about it's exciting future, and get an insider's look into the history of former maximum-security prison. We'll sail off from Pier 33 on the 3:50pm boat, and once we disembark we will be treated to a special walking tour ending at the Cellhouse where we will have the option of going on the award-winning audio tour or joining Alcatraz Island staff on a behind-the-scenes tour of areas of the park not usually open to the public, such as the A Block and the Citadel. We'll then have time to enjoy many of the other programs and exhibits that Alcatraz Island has to offer before leaving for the mainland at 6:45pm.
This event is NOT complimentary, however we ARE offering a special discount on the ferry ticket price. Member GA tickets for this event cost $42.25, for a savings of over $22 from the regular Alcatraz Night Tour price. This event is for Parks Conservancy members only. If you are not a member, we are offering a special ticket bundle for this event that includes annual membership for total of $75.
Make sure to order your tickets through this event page only! Any other ticket purchased on the Alcatraz City Cruises website will not be included in the final count for this tour. There is a limit of two tickets per membership. All sales are final.
THINGS TO NOTE:
Please bring layers! It can get VERY chilly on the island, and the weather is generally unpredictable.
The walk to the Cellhouse and to the behind-the-scenes tour is STRENUOUS. They consist of steep hills and stairs. Make sure to wear comfortable footwear!
There is NO food or beverage allowed on the island. However, a water bottle is permitted and encouraged.
