INSTITUTE RELEASES PARK PRESCRIPTIONS: PROFILES AND RESOURCES FOR GOOD HEALTH FROM THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Since 2009, the Institute has supported a dynamic group of physicians, health advocates, and environmental experts working together as a "Health and National Resilience Guild." Park Prescriptions, a movement to prescribe parks for health, is one initiative to come out of the guild's regular meetings at Fort Baker.

Incubated at the Institute, Park Prescriptions is supported by a national coalition of cross-sector programs connecting health and the outdoors. Park Prescriptions will be highlighted at President Obama's America's Great Outdoors listening session on health.
