Overview of Volunteer Programs

We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups, including many that do not require training or a lengthy time commitment, so that we can be sure to match your interests, skills, and available time. As a volunteer, you can contribute to Habitat Restoration, Landscaping & Gardening, Native Plant Nurseries, Trail Maintenance, Wildlife Monitoring, Education, Visitor Centers, Historic Landmarks & Cultural Resources, and much more. Programs and projects are located parkwide, including San Francisco, The Presidio, Marin, and San Mateo County.

National Parks belong to all of us. When you volunteer, you’re making a vital contribution to the health of our local National Parks, our open space, and our community. Join us for a fun and rewarding experience in the Parks!
